Hi all, I am now 60 years old and I am an enthusiastic of low band operations and experimenting with antennas.

I am technician in electronics with communications as a main specialization which I used basically as a hobby because I work for IBM as an IT Service Management Consultant.

My operating station  is located in a friend farm land at Rauch, in Buenos Aires Province, at about 380 Km from the Capital city.

The station is under continuous evolution and is being built and shared with my good friend LU8DPM Mario in a farm land.

It is focussed mainly on 160 mts with good operating capabilities on 80 and 40 mts.

Actually its has a Full size 1/4 vertical for 160 with more than 100 1/4 radials, a full size 1/4 vertical for 80 mts with more than 50 radials and a 5/8 vertical for 40 mts.

We are actually working on an SPITFIRE for 160 with the help of John W1FV which now seems to be giving signs of being working.

As RX antennas we have 6 Beverages ranging from 180 to 300 mts in length.

We also tried K9AY optimized for 160 which was good while we increased the number of Beverages. Sometimes we re-installed it to use it with NCC1 to attenuate some noises or BC spurs or armonics.

We are planning to place VE3DO phased loops to phase them against the beverages using the NCC1 as per advice of Tim K3LR.

We have a lot of projects in mind but our goal is to have something new every year.

In the past we foccussed on SSB, DX and Contest only on 160 and we both are now trying CW. None of us are good, but we will keep trying and improving slowly our skills, and what is more important having fun in the process.

Recently mayor serious activities included CQWWSSB 2008,CQWWSSB160 2009, CQWWSSB 2009 160 only, CQWWSSB160 2010,CQWWSSB 2010 160 only, CQWWSSB160 2011, CQWWSSB 2011 160 only, CQWWSSB160 2012, CQWWSSB 2012 160 only, CQWWSSB 2013 160 only, CQWWSSB160 2013, CQWWSSB 2014 160 only, CQWWSSB160 2015, CQWWSSB 2015 160 only, CQWWSSB 2016 160 only, CQWWSSB 2017 160 only, CQWW 160 SSB 2018.

CW schedules are also possible but at slow speed... If you need LU land on Topband, write to my above address and I will include you on my list and I will let you know in advance of my next available window

Dear friends, I am not member of a Radio Club, so I don’t have access to any burou service.

I use LOTW but if you still need a QSL card, please read the following

We have been experiencing problem with the post office where QSLs never arrived or the money inside is lost. For those that arrived without money I contacted the hams via email and we arranged a paypal deposit of at least 5.50 U$S to cover only the return postage. (no profit here)

For those that sent a QSL to me with a SASE and enough return postage and didn’t get any feedback at all from me it is because it never arrived at my home at all so I suggest you contact me by mail.

For those interested in a QSL I suggest you contact me by mail (QRZ mail is ok) and we will arranged how to do the exchange. Sorry for the inconvenience but it is out of our control and I am trying to do my best to do not disappoint anybody.

For reference, actual Postal Service COSTs from Argentina are stupid high 5.70 U$S for Europe and Asia and 5.00 U$S for USA.
