I also hold KH6VP (Extra), VE3PPV [I used to live in Ottawa, Canada where I return see friends more than once per year], SV0GV[where I have a summer house in the Peloponese], EI4GV [where I used to own a cottage in West Cork], and used to hold ON9CGV (when I lived in Belgium many years ago).

My current shack: TenTec Automatic tuner, Collins KWM-2A transceiver, Collins 30L-1 linear amplifier, Antenna rotator, Icom 7000, SCS IIusbĀ radio modem, CODAN selective call unit, TentecĀ Titan 425 linear amplifier, Hallicrafters SX-71 (as new condition). Many more radios including, SBE SB-34s, SBE SB-33, Hallicrafters SR-150, Heathkit SB-102, Heathkit HW-100, Heathkit HW-32, HW-12, Yaesu FL-50, FR-50, Kenwood TS-820S, Drake TR-7, TR-4 and more than 10 linear amplifiers. I also own many DC power supplies from the 1960's so that the radios can operate from my 13.7V supply.

I have been a ham since 1975 (started in South Africa as ZS6BMY) and am very active with new developments. Have written in QST, got involved in regulations in most countries (have personally obtained temporary third-party agreements between the US and Ireland, Germany and Greece in the past) and am now retired.

My latest project is in films and am the Executive Producer of The Dark Hand, a Dutch Marich film.

I wrote a book called GJ139, available on Amazon.com about extra terrestrial civilizations and planets. Since the book was written, astronomers have found three planets orbitting GJ139 [aka 82G Eridani].

I also follow Astronomy and gave a speech recently at a NASA astrobiology conference on a new direction for SETI: "Seti, the ETI perspective" in 2001.

My station is mainly Icom and I use a three element tri-band beam on a crank-up tower at 50 feet, a 4 element 18MHz monobander still under test, and own more than 100 tube radios, incuding the Collins KWM-1 and the KWM-2 and KWM-2A.

My XYL, Bobbie is also a ham, NH6RH. You can call me on 144.725 (88.5) if you are nearby. This frequency is used by many ham friends in the area.
