At present, I am active on HF, 6 metres, 2 metres and 70cm from my home QTH and occasionally mobile.

I do have HF equipment but I struggle to use it due to constantly receiving some interference from a seemingly local source. It sounds like mains electrical noise and is S9+ on the signal meter at regular 68kHz intervals beginning at approximately 70kHz and tailing off at around 36MHz.

This can be heard on any receiver whether connected to my power supply or from its own batteries and I have eliminated the possibility that any of my own household appliances may have been causing the interference by shutting the power off at my home's main breaker. When I did this, the interference remained.

My local 2 metre repeater is GB3TP and on 70cm, GB3XL. Both are very strong with me here in IO93AU.

Although I can mainly be heard on VHF, I enjoy DX on any band and I'm always pleased when I hear a new prefix!
