Sorry I do not collect or send QSL cards - eqsl is fine but no cards I am afraid.

Learning CW -  new operator - please be patient with my slow morse :)  5-8wpm but trying to improve

WAB square SJ61

My latest enjoyment comes in the form of PSK31 but working QRP from my 817 working just 2 1/2 watts, if you hear me let me in!!!

I love the feeling of getting the contact with such little power, when a powerful station gives you a very similar report that you give them, it is such a buzz.

Hopefully I will get many more miles from my 2.5 watts PSK, so far it is within Europe (only got the cable today so still playing with it) hopefully more to come.  I do work PSK with much more power (20w) from my TS570DGE but nothing can compete with doing the contact with so little power.

I have been licensed since September 2011, and since then have taken my intermediate and advanced licence - all licences achieved within 12 monhs.

I enjoy many aspects to the hobby, however when I get the chance I do enjoy going out and doing some SOTA activations, and some portable operations.  This part does not diminish in the enjoyment that I get - who would be in a shack as a SOTA chaser when you could be cold and wet on a summit with a pile up, no contest!!!

I am a member of the Telford and District Amateur Radio Society , and enjoy the special event stations that we put on throught the year

Marconi Day GB8MD (NoV Holder)

JOTA GB2WGS

Working the 6m contest as G3Z with TDARS

My radio equiptment varies wherever I am, mobile I use the Icom 2725E, when out and about I use my ICOM IC-E92D handheld, portable my Yaesu FT-817, and at home either my Yaesu FT-857d or my Kenwood TS-570DGE

Please note that I do not collect QSL cards, a confirmation of the call on here or even eqsl is fine, however I do not use the Bureau.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Many thanks

John
