I'm Nik & thanks for stopping by.

Licensed in 2015 - new to the hobby, did it the wrong way round being a professional broadcast/transmission engineer first then a ham.

Home Station currently comprises an Icom IC-7100, into an MFJ-971 tuner & whatever antenna I happen to be playing with at the time. Foundation licence holder, restricted to 10 watts in most bands & usually operate about 5. Rarely I go mobile with the IC-7100.

Mobile on VHF/UHF Analog & D-STAR via an iCom ID-5100e into a generic dualbander, or via UHF on DMR via one of a fleet of Motorola DMR radios I own for other things - If we talk on DMR then I'll be on either a DM4600, DP4800 or SL4000.

I QSL direct for now & via eQSL. RSGB Bureau is a work in progress.

Callsign M6HOV chosen as 'HOV' being the first 3 letters of Hoverspeed, to which I have a connection, which used to run the worlds largest passenger Hovercraft across the English Channel :)
