Welcome to the QRZ page for:

History:-

I have always had a keen interest in radio since I could pick one up - tuning in to listen to Radio Luxembourg (Fabulous 208), Atlantic 252 and BBC Radio 1 (MW & LW)!
The technical side developed when my parents gave me a 'build it yourself' radio set when I was around eight years old. I was fascinated that I was able to transmit on the Medium Wave band, using the copper pipes of the central heating radiators as an antenna!
The neighbours would be able to hear my 'radio shows' on their AM radios - fortunately, they never complained and I was never caught!

I was a keen CB radio operator in the 1990s, when a CB license cost £15.00 from the Radiocommunications Agency.
I felt that stepping into Amateur Radio, would be most beneficial for pursuing my radiocommunication hobby.

After obtaining my license in September 2015; my first QSO was with my good friend, Steve Nicholls (GØJFM), on the 10m band. It is also with the help of Steve, that my interest in amateur radio blossomed.
I am extremely grateful to Steve for his continued support, knowledge and experience; in our shared hobby.

Personal Biography:-
I live in a village called Bromeswell, in the county of Suffolk, in the East of England.
I have a beautiful and bright young daughter. I am hoping in years to come, that she will recall the wonderful time we had together listening to the radio and 'playing radio' with the pink PMR radios I gave her and perhaps, follow "Daddy's" footsteps into Amateur Radio.

My beautiful, 'XYL' and love of my life, Crystal (WAØØ85SWL & CSWL-1692/W); is currently studying towards her license, so we can share this wonderful hobby together. Crystal enjoys listening in to EchoLink communications, HF communications and Emergency communications. Once she has obtained her license; we intend to operate at various mobile locations.
We both have an interest in weather and radar operations. We both enjoy storm tracking and watching how they develop on radar. We have various weather apps on our iPhones and we plan on further education in Meteoroligy.

Crystal is qualified in Music Education and has qualifications in Broadcasting, including a Diploma. She has used her videography skills for a charity in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - Unity, A Journey of Hope - to record, edit and produce documentaries.
Crystal is also a voiceover artist, recording and producing commercials and sweepers etc for radio and TV.
