I got my Foundation Licence callsign on the 21st July 2017.

I am using a Yaesu FT-8900R mainly whilst mobile on 2m and 70cm bands with occaisional lurking on 6m to see if anything is happening.

The FT-8900R has now been programmed with my nearest repeaters and I can sometimes be found on these.

I now have a triband vertical antenna mounted on the house for home station operation.

I have added a Retevis RT3 to the radio collection to try some DMR working and see what it's like.

Now that working on codeplugs for radios is becoming a bit more fun (not sure thats the right word- perhaps I should say that I am getting better at it and don't find it horribly tedious). I am contemplating programming my other handheld (Baofeng UV-82) for some local repeaters to where I am often out and about without being in the car.

December 2017 update.

The shack has grown substantially in terms of capability with the addition of an Icom IC-7100 and a DVMEGA hotspot for D-Star and DMR use (I can't use any Linked D-Star repeaters from my home QTH and the DMR one is sketchy at best).

I also have plans to build a multiband dipole for 40,20,10 and 6m.

73 for now
