Clublog OQRS is available for all of my activity!

1. I will listen, listen and then listen some more
2. I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly
3. I will not trust the cluster and will make sure I have copied the DX callsign
4. I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling him and will never tune up on the DX stations frequency or in the QSX slot
5. I will wait for the DX station to complete a QSO before calling him
6. I will always send my full callsign
7. I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will never call continuously

8. I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another callsign not mine
9. I will not transmit when the DX operator questions a callsign not like mine
10. I will not transmit when the DX operator calls a geographic area not where I am
11. When the DX calls me I will not repeat my callsign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly
12. I will be thankful when I make a contact with the DX
13. I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect

Thanks for looking me up, thank you for the QSO if we have spoken on the air.

 

I am 29 years of age and live in the farming village of Fetterangus, 10 miles west of the fishing port of Peterhead in the North East coast of Scotland.

Below you can see what the weather can be like with us on a regular winter day....

 

 

 

My love for radio started at a the young age of 6. As an SWL, i would come home from school and listen at any free opportunity. I became a licensed ham at the age of 14 in 2002 and received the call MM3AWD which gave me access to all HF bands with a maximum output of 10w.

 

I had no space for outdoor antennas at the time, so only only a nest of dipoles in the roof space for the HF bands and the low power was used, but still worked over 275 DXCC with that call.

 

In Febuary 2007 passed my exam for the full license and i received the call MM0LID.

 

 Qsl is available direct or EQSL, I am very sorry but there is no buro cards!!. If you send to the buro i will not receive it.

 

I am very active on All Bands on all modes. So if you hear me please do give me a call.

 

Very Active In Contests as Single Operator or part of multi teams. So If We Have Worked In a Contest , Many Thanks For The Points. And we look forward to seeing you in the next one.

 

Record Holder in multiple categories for GM (Scotland) in many contests, including WPX and CQWW.

I am a Member of the following Clubs/Groups : (WWYC)- World Wide Young Contesters, (MDXA)- Michigan DX Association, (SECC)- South East Contest Club, (BCG) Buchan Contest Group, (DNCG)- Disturbed Network Contest Group, (TDXS) - Texas DX Society , amongst many others. I will update this list.

 

I actively use the logging facility here. If we make QSO please be so kind to log the QSO for the confirmation.

 

MM0LID has been active from many DXCC, Lighthouses and IOTA since 2007, with lots more to come in the future. listen out on the bands and check the website for the latest updates.

Dipoles, Verticals, Hexbeam (depends on the location)

The above picture is from the 2008 IARU Reg1 Field Day. You can see a very young me in the bottom left inlay picture, during a logging part. I was operating at the time the main picture was taken.

 

Below is our 60 foot trailer tower we use during field day and other contests as the Buchan Contest Group. On top we have the Hygain TH6DXX and dipoles, this photo was before we bought the Cushcraft 40m Rotatable Dipole.
