You may have heard me via one of the brandmeister DMR reflectors via GB7GG or occasionally on UHF FM via GB3GL. I do try to make sure i follow proper ettiquiette but usually i just end up tying myself in knots, so i probably messed up your callsign and used the wrong terms at various time. I'm sure i'll get better at that side of things as time goes by!

I got my foundation licence in 2015, but did nothing with it (life intervened). I'm now (2018) getting back into this.

I'm interested mostly in learning but also in some digital modes and I've started learning CW. My background is in software development and i have a long standing interest in electronics. I would love to try signal finding / "fox hunting" sometime.

I don't have much kit, a couple of chinese handhelds, a 40m QRP kit transciever and an ultra low power SDR so far.

My next project is a multiband loft antenna build for low power. I'm leaning towards I've bought the antenna wire and RG58 for the multi-band parallel-fed set of inverted V half wave dipoles described in the "Stealth Antennas" book on page 39.
