Special temporary call signs for Royal Wedding

RSGB has agreed with Ofcom arrangements for all UK Radio Amateurs to opt to use special callsigns for a period of eleven days beginning on the date of the marriage of H.R.H. Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton, 29th April 2011.

Thanks for looking me up. I am 49yrs old and I have been an amatuer since June 2008 and passed my intermediate on the 13th Feb 2009 and have had my Full Licence since 8th May 2009. I am a member of Blackwood ARC (www.gw6gw.co.uk) and thanks go to the members of the club for all the training, help and support that I have recieved.


I use a Kenwood TS-870 with a homebrew windom 40 at about 30ft AGL and a homebrew Cobwebb at about18ft AGL for HF and a kenwood TM-G707 with a Sharman X-501 at about 20 feet above the ground for 2m and 70cm.

For mobile use I have a Yeasu FT-8900 with a Moonraker atom AT4
