Hi Friends!

After reviewing my 3 year old post, I figured that I had better do some updating.  I’m still located in Tintah, MN and am somewhat active on VHF/UHF and HF.  Currently, I have a Diamond vertical dual band on the top of the tower (50’) and an off-fed center dipole at the 40' level.  Although it's not as high as I would like, it seems to work quite well and has a good radiation pattern.  I do have a 10 element 2 meter yagi on a pole about 25' in the air which is used when I have to 'aim' to a distant repeater.  The 200 watt 2 meter amp helps with that task.  :)  My primary radio is an IC-7100 (since we are FAR away from a DStar repeater, I'm connected using a DVAP) and have an ID-880 and an IC-2820 in my cars.  One of the things I have been working with recently is using DSTAR on HF.  There are several nets throughout the week and it's always interesting how far a DSTAR signal can travel depending upon band conditions.

73's friends!
