Thanks for stopping by!
I have held the callsign N0WBV since I was licensed in 1993, but have also been known to operate from other places around the world and you might have found me on the bands as: KH4/N0WBV, VP5/N0WBV,  N0WBV/J3,  T32YL or JW/N0WBV.  In the future I hope to add more callsigns as well.
I am a longtime member of the Young Ladies' Radio League, Inc. and have been an officer for much of that time.  I am currently the editor of our magazine YL-Harmonics and the Publicity Chairwoman.  If you are a YL or a YL you know is interested in radio I would love to hear from you!  We have had YL members as young as 8 years old and one YL got back into radio at 100 and was a member until she became a silent key at 102!  We also have ladies who are not licensed YET, but are working on it as subscribers.
Women Helping Women in Amateur Radio and our Motto is QRV!
I would love to send information to you on our organization! (Sorry OMs, this is a YL only club, though many of our OMs support our activity and are much appreciated!)
I passed my 20wpm code, but my love is quickly becoming RTTY and I look forward to more QSOs on PSK31 as well and hope to get into Satellites eventually.  Of course with a female voice, it is hard to pass up phone.  If you don't mind a slow code speed (I am only back to about 5 wpm-sigh), I work cw as well, but usually only occasionally.
In fact, between contesting, DXing, DXpeditioning, paper chasing and all the modes...if I ever get bored with this hobby it will be my own darn fault!  I will say the best is tag teaming contacts with my OM, John, KT0F.  (We often challenge each other to see who can get the contact faster.  If code-his speed wins, if phone-my YL voice can help, if Digital-it is usually whoever got to the radio first!)
I love to QSL (though can be slow in getting things out as I love to change cards about once a year) and QSL in a manner of ways.  Am just getting started with LoTW so contacts are being added slowly with the home call and then on to the DXpeditions...I hope.  I still love paper the best as we look at the QSL cards often and hang a number of them on display, so this is my favorite method-plus I love award hunting, so the paper confirmation helps out a lot.
Hope to see you on the bands soon!
