On my HD Ultra Classic, looking south over Newfound Lake, NH

Originally licensed a coded novice in the early nineties,  I had three great mentors Pete N1DYL, Ken N1KR (AKA N1JAB) and Warren N1SRS. All have passed away. My friend Ken talked me into getting Extra class license, and after getting Extra I also became a Volunteer Examiner. Being a trucker for a long time the ham radio became a useful tool to get through traffic and my day! Once I got off the road (2003) the radios took a back seat for quite a while. Recently I have had another burst of HAM energy only to find it is a lot different with all kinds of new stuff! D-Star, Echo-link etc. Can't wait to see what's next!

I started riding motorcycles at age 6. I have been a Harley guy since 1989 and owned a Low Rider shovel head for about 21 years. After racing motocross and adding a dozen or so broken bones to my resume, in my 50's now I need to slow down a little and relax.

Below is a picture of my newer Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classic and some tower pictures. I love to climb and the view is always worth the climb!
