HI from ED, MARY and our Maggie
I was born and raised in Fall River Massachusetts. In 1992, I got my Lic with the call N1MPR. While living in Fall River I was active with the Bristol County Repeater Club, holding the offices of Treasurer for 5 years and President for 1 year.
In November 2005, my wife, Mary-Elizabeth (N1RFZ) and I moved to Titusville, Florida the Kennedy Space Center is across the river from where we live.
On Dec.19 2006 I was in a horrific semi truck accident and have been unable to work since. I drove semi trucks all over MA and Florida. I delivered heavy equipment to different jobs including to the Kennedy Space Center. I have seen the space shuttle and crawler up close. I've had the honor to meet and to talk to some of the astronauts while delivering to the KSC. Because of my accedent I have been retired since 2008 and am enjoying fishing and other outdoor activities like riding my new 2013 Vespa GTS 300 and my 1966 Vespa 180 SS
Here in the Titusville area we have a All-Star node repeater system that I have been able to talk to all my old friends back in Ma, the node number here is 27901 for All-Star and 616190 for Ecolink You are more than welcome to call it up one night and join the rag chew that we have going on..
We also have a D-STAR system in COCOA Fla just next door the call for the gateway is KJ4OXT. This month with the help of Tom W1TG we are going to make a rasberry pie IE siplex d-star repeater. I should say Tom is making it for me becaus he has the experties that I doo not have lol anyway it will be a silplex repeater on 147.585 and will be opeen to all hams with dstar. I eexpect this to be on the air in the later part of June
If you have any questions about coming here or about what to see just drop me a line and I will be happy to provide any information I am able to. My e-mail address is up to date here.
