I have been licensed since approximately 1993 through my first license exam at a BARA Hamfest in northern NJ. Since then i have upgraded to General Class and hope to one day reach the Extra Class license.

I try to be active on HF but more so in my earlier days when I was still with my parents in Bergen County. I had numerous antennas including my Cushcraft R7 vertical and an Antron 99 retuned for 10 meters. The propogation was much better then and I probably worked DXCC but never confirmed it. I have since lost those records between old paper logbooks and a very old computer when I moved numerous times.

Now I am active on the local repeaters after moving to my current QTH in Middlesex County. I am an associate member of the Raritan Valley Radio Club and try to stay active when I am able. Now that I have moved to a townhouse then HF is not so easy to do nowadays. Since that is the case I have become very active for about 15 months now on the satellites such as HO-68, SO-67, AO-51, AO-27, SO-50, AO-7 (mode b for now), VO-52, and FO-29. One of my most memorable contacts are my first which were with KD8CAO and soon after his father K8YSE. Both have been great mentors over email, the AMSAT BBS, and even over the satellites themselves. My fist linear satellite contact was with the two of them back to back on AO-7 (mode b) one evening last year which really was incredible! My other memorable contact was with Col. Doug Wheelock on one of his orbits during his stay aboard the International Space Station (NA1SS) last year! That is definitely one of the QSL cards I will cherish for a long time!

Hope to catch you all on the air! 73!
