Welcome to my QRZ page - this is Doc, N3HD.

I was initially licensed as a Code Technician with callsign N3LIN in January 1992. Soon after I passed the tests to become Advanced with the callsign KE3CZ, and then Extra Class. I elected to keep my KE3CZ callsign for several years as I had become skilled with the rhythm doing the call with CW, and I operated a very active Packet Radio BBS in the Delaware Valley area for several years where the callsign had become familiar in the 2 meter, 220 MHz and 70 cm mail forwarding systems. I was mentored in life and elmered in everything from operating and repairing radios and equipment by Sam, N3FOA (SK). I was lucky in being elmered and assisted by several of the Phil-Mont Club members (special note to Steve - WU3I, current Trustee of W3AA), as well as several hams onboard the USS Olympia. This is the same USS Olympia that was the Flagship of Commodore George Dewey on 1 MAY 1898 ("You may fire when you are ready Gridley" fame) during the Battle of Manila Bay - Spanish-American War. The Olympia is the oldest steel American warship still afloat, and is a museum ship at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, PA operating WA3BAT.

Several QTH changes bouncing across the States, I currently reside in Central Virginia.

I operate CW, DStar, DMR, Yaesu Fusion, Echolink & Satellite along with the low bands.

If you hear me anywhere, and it could be just about any frequency and/or mode, please say hello. Not that I haven't had a few QSO's with myself over the years, but I enjoy hearing from people around and above the world.
