Hello!  I was first licensed in 1968 as WN8CFS in Michigan.  Was inactive for many years until getting the bug again in 1993 and have been active since.  My passion is chasing DX.  CW is my favorite mode.  Spent some time contesting but don’t have weekends to spare.  I live on 3 wooded acres which provides plenty of antenna supports (and corresponding antenna maintenance).

  • 160:  2-element E-W wire vertical array with Comtek phasing box, elevated radials
  • 80: 4-square wire array, Comtek phasing box, elevated radials
  • 40: 4-square, aluminum tubing, Comtek phasing box, elevated radials
  • 30: N-S and E-W dipoles at 60’  (want to improve on this)
  • 20-10:  Spiderbeam on AB-105 tower
  • 6:  M2 5-element beam on AB-105 (recent addition)
  • Rx: NE-SW beverage, E-W beverage, and 8-circle YCCC array
