I worked for over 20 years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. I am married and have three sons, 2 grandsons and 2 grand daughters. We have hosted 4 foreign exchange students and love learning about other cultures. One of my dreams is to get a motor home, install an HF rig and wander the back roads of America. I love to read adventure novels, do lawn work and take long walks. I retired from the Vocational Rehabilitation Agency in North Carolina in 2004 and moved to Lindale, Georgia, where I worked for the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency for 3 years. In December of 2007, we moved to the mountains of Western North Carolina, where we lived in my grandfather’s home, which was built in the 1800’s. That home is located about 2 miles off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I frequently drove up on the lofty peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains near the home and talked to hams all over the country, using my mobile rig and handi talkie. In June of 2011, we retired to Lake Chapala Mexico and purchased a home there. I finally got a tower mounted on the 3rd. floor of my house and mounted a Mosley Classic 33 5 band yagi on top of the tower.  The antenna is a little over 60 feet above the ground.   I am currently running a Yaesu 857 D.  I also enjoy Echo Link and CQ 100.  Look up my Mexican information on QRZ.Com by searching for XE1N4LBW in the QRZ call sign search.  Also go to https://youtu.be/druwNoEYKTA to check out the installation of my Mosley Beam Antenna.
