Retired from the Microsoft Corporation after 35 years in the computer IT business.

I am currently the Emergency Coordinator for ARES in Wilson County and a member of the W4EAO radio group that is affiliated with Wilson County Emergency Management Agency (WEMA).

I live in Lebanon, Tennessee - about 30 miles east of Nashville and my base station equipment includes a Yaesu 897 and an ICOM 7100 as I also enjoy D-STAR communications, DMR, and System Fusion. For mobile/portable use I have the new ICOM 5100A as well as the ICOM 880h mobile and the ICOM IC-92AD and ICOM IC 51a LE for portable.  I have recently embraced DMR/P25 and I am also active with Yaesu SystemFusion using a Yaesu 400 and an FTM-100D.  As you can see I do like the digital modes.

My antennas are an attic full of Isotrons and one G5RV dipole as well as Comet and Diamond brand VHF/UHF antennas. I have recently added a Buckmaster OCF dipole which I am quite pleased with. My radio shack like most others will always and forever be a work in progress as long as technology and transmission modes evolve.

I am a member of the W4EAO operations radio group that works closely with the local Wilson County, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency.  Our group enjoys a fantastic working relationship with the agency which allows us to provide assistance to the citizens of Wilson County during any public event or disaster situation that may arise.

Thanks for stopping by!  I can be reached N4NYA@arrl.net or my email address listed above..
