My rig is an IC-7200.   Technician operator since 1986, but upgraded to General and Extra Class in 2014.  Since I couldn't work HF before then, I'm still working on my WAS and DXCC, so please QSL on LOTW.

I live and work in Atlanta, but used travel extensively as a Field Engineering Consultant. Back then, I usually worked HF from a wire taped to the wall of my hotel room. That made 80 meters impossible, so I got used to working on 20 Meter PSK31 where you'll find me most of the time.  I'm also learning morse code, so hopefully I'll get on the air with it soon.

My shack is just a small table in the corner of the living room, so I use headphones on the rare times that I use sideband.  I'm kinda convinced that balanced line is the best antenna feed, so I run that up to a skywire loop in the back yard.  The trees are short, so it's only up 20 feet at the peak and much lower on the corners, but it does pretty well in spite of the low height.

I work a few miles from Stone Moutain:

and they have a great light show that you should see if you visit Atlanta:

Youtube has a few videos.  The first 3 minutes is boring, but here is a 15 minute video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REpMOZ20lto

Also, don't miss the Coca-Cola museum in downtown:

And there are other things to do in Atlanta:
