I operate mostly VHF-UHF sideband weak signal. 6,2,222,432,1296 are the bands that I am currently on. I just got on 222 and 1296, so looking for grids on those bands. I am in Grid Square EL89TW04. I had been off the air for around 15 years.  I got back on the air for the Jan. 2012 VHF contest and  enjoyed it and have been active since that time.

If you came here to look up my ship address it is as follows:

Retired telephone man from way back when the switches made lots of electromechanical noise.  I started in the business as an installer for Western Electric in 1967.  Installed No.1 SXS and 355 CDO offices until 1975 when I was laid off after having a break in service in 1970.  Went to work for North Florida Telephone in 1978 which was part of the Mid-Continent System as a Switchman.  It merged with Allied Telephone Company and the result was ALLTEL.  Left there in 1999 and went to work for Bellsouth as an Electronic Technician which became AT&T with another merger.  I retired from AT&T in 2012 in Lake City FL.

Got a 1st Class Radiotelephone License to maintain the Lenkurt microwave radios that ALLTEL used back then for the Toll network.  I was disappointed when that eventually turned into a General Radiotelephone License, as I worked hard for that 1st Class ticket.

I became a ham in 1988 when I went to Field Day in Gainesville Fl and saw that others were interested in radio.  Still enjoy as stated earlier mostly VHF/UHF and above.  I enjoy the challenge.

Currently using an Anan 10E transceiver and 4 transverters for 2,222,432,1296.  Displayed on a 40" TV.  We have heard all of our lives the expression "best thing since sliced bread", SDR is it.  I can watch160 khz of spectrum on any band that I have the transverter for and "see" any signal within that frequency range.  I have made quite a few contacts this way.  Also an Anan 200D for HF/6M.
