I was first licensed in July 1994 for the sole purpose of doing SKYWARN. Spotted from my roof top until I could drive and then joined the Tarrant County RACES and City of Arlington Disaster Reservists. Spotted off and on for many many years and in 2011 I joined the WX5FWD team at the Fort Worth National Weather Service office as a radio desk operator. It's been an absolute blast being on this side of the radio. You can find more infomation at our webpage, www.wx5fwd.org.

I also worked professionally in the ham industry for around 5 years at W5YI Group during the early 2000's. I've been in the finance/mortgage industry ever since.

Not as exciting as some. I don't contest, build equipment, work satellites, work HF and have not had the D-Star kool-aid yet (little inside joke). I am starting to play around with P25 and DMR though. I typically monitor the North Central Texas Connection link system, http://northcentraltexasconnection.com/ and try to always monitor this link system when working severe weather events at the Fort Worth NWS office.

That's about it. You will probably hear me on any number of SKYWARN nets throughout the 46 counties the Fort Worth NWS is responsible for and see me at SKYWARN trainings. Feel free to say HI.
