Name here is Jim McClellan. I was orginally licensed as WN5FEG in 1970. I am orginally from South East Texas (Orange).

We just finished the new radio desk. There's an audio mixer above the ICOM R-9500 on the left. In the center is an ICOM IC-9100 for D-STAR & VHF/UHF/SHF, with meters for all bands. On the right is the ICOM IC-7700. The GAP Titan DX is switched between the HF transceivers. Instead of running lots of speakers, all outputs (including the PC) run into the mixer, and then into the amp below the desk on the left, which drives two KLH speakers. Under the desk on the right is the Ethernet switch & patch panel.

I am heavily involved with DSTAR and helping new folks find the wonders of this hobby. I also participate in Field Day every year. I have been known to do interesting things including running railroad mobile for a couple of years.

Field Day one year

When I am not working or playing radio, I enjoy camping with my wife, Lisa K5LRM. I also enjoy spending time with my daughter, Megan K5MEM, when she decides to come home from school.

Currently, I am the trustee of the K5TIT analog and digital repeater systems running UHF, VHF, and 1.2. I am also an admin of the World Trust Server for DSTAR.

You can contact me through me email listed above. As for QSL's, Direct and LOTW work great. If you want direct, please send a SASE or IRC.
