My Bio:

I will be 78 in April and have been license since 1988 born and raised in SW KS. (Garden City), 50 miles west of Dodge City, Boot Hill KS.

I married a Florida Girl and moved to Florida in 1996.

I now hold a Amateur Extra class license.

I was intorduce to Yaesu Fusion System this summer and have develop a interest as I was a D-Star fan talking to the D Plus reflectors..

I have a Yaesu FTM 100DR mobile radio radio and a Yaesu FT70DR HT.

We have a  Fusion repeater with Wires X attached to the repeater. The callsign is N4TDX and is located in Titusville FL.

I'm President of Brevard Amateur Radio Society, (BARS) Brevard County Florida.

Web Master for the BARS web site, http://www.brevardars.org There is a lot of good information on this site for the Technicians.

I am active in RTTY contesting using HRD and N1MM+ Logger software. Dxpeditions and looking for the rare DX stations is my favorite.

My Station equipment:

Yaesu FTM 100 DR Fusion Radio

Yaesu FT 70DR with a firmware update to 1.1.1

This makes a wires X radio out of the Yaesu 70 DR  to link to Wires X rooms.

Catch me on the N4TDX Repeater located in Titusville FL

The Repeater has Wires X and I will be monitoring the Texas-Nexus, room 21636.

LDG Pro 1000
Ameritron AL-811H
Icom 5100A VHF/UHF D-Star Radio
Antennas Cushcraft MA 5B @ 80 ft., Antron 99 for 10 mt, and a multiband dipole for 40 and 80 mt @ 65 ft.
Software is Ham Radio Deluxe and N1MM Logger

My Tower and Antennas:

The tower is a Roan 25 at 70ft with a Glenn Martin Hazer Tram

The HF antenna is a Cushcraft MA-5B 10, 12, 15, 17, 20 meters Yagi

Above the MA-5B is a Gulf Alpha 8 element 2 mt cross polarized Yagi

The 36 inch side arm mounted on the bottom of the tram suports my 40 and 80 mt inverted V, and my Ambient WS-2090 Personal Weather Station (PWS).
