The fun keeps on rolling.and this year 2017 is POTA and any number of events, so

July 18th I was in Benton County WA looking at Proesser WA.  Nice little town and I worked several of you that morning.   I moved to OLMSTEAD State Park (KFF-3240) near Ellensburg WA.      From there I also works some of you.

Thank you, at the park, the QRM changed by the minute even out in a rural area.     Bottom line. I have sent the logs to LOTW and for the park, WW&FF for you.    If something is not right, please email me.

September 16 - 18 2016

Salmon Run and Olympia National Part NP44 at 1800 meters on Blue Mountain.     I took a picture but some how it disappeared into vapor so.   Saturday to Sunday morning I operated at Port Angeles WA in a small cabin.    Using a Kenwood TS-140 and a inverted "V" at 40 feet.   Nice place and worked a few stations and miss clean sweep by one Washington County, Pacific.    At noon I dropped everything and loaded the pickup and headed to Blue Mountain.   For two hours did NP44 to many luck operators.    Should you expect a LOTW confirmation and you don't see it, email.

Our friend Jack, KC7YE had a bone spur removed from his foot last week so I got substituted in for him for the International Lighthouse/ship Weekend (ILLW).    We got to the LV-83 Swithsure (US-0113) and then setup our equipment in the Ward Room of the ship.     The antenna was strung between the two Lamp Masts.  We started working 2  and 40/20 meters.   We had a lot of fun but it was hot in Seattle at 90 + degrees.     The first picture is the ship (renovations are being done).   The second picture is the curator for the boat, Eric, AD7BF, and myself.

QSL to KC7YE with SASE.

I again gave out two numbers at the park; first Ebey's Landing National Reserve is RS02.   It is 19,000 acres maintained by private, local, county, state and federal agreements and secondly, an Island on the Air (IOTA) as I was on Whideby Island which is IOTA NA-065.     Grid is CN88pe.

The noise level there today was quite high and propagation to anywhere was very weird.    I'm sorry I did not work more.   It was a spur of the moment stop on the way home from another event.

July 21

NPOTA to Klondike Gold Rush - Seattle Unit National Historical Park (HP22) King County and Grid CN87to.

It was fun.    The conditions on top of the parking lot in the SODO district near the park office in Seattle was quite noisey.     I'm sorry I had so much trouble hearing you so thanks for working with me.    I may have broken some of the callsigns so if I did, please email me with your concern with your's/my contact information and I will review my handwritten log.     I should have it in LOTW within the day or two.

July 8

NPOTA for North Cascade (NP43) and Ross Lake (RC16).

I was disappointed by several things among them was propagation.    It was poor to non-esistant.   Also, the location I picked, Deablo Lake Overlook was not the best because of the cliffs around me.

Thank you to those that helped me.   And I hope the contacts are in LOTW correctly.   I entered my paper log into my computer to upload to LOTW today for the NPOTA yesterday.       If not, e-mail me and we will work it out.

June 14

What a thrill ... Cayman Island on 6 meters with 100 watts and a 5 element antenna at 40 feet.   Going for the card for sure.

June 3:

I am entering the paper log into my computer to upload to LOTW sometime today or tomorrow.

What a blast.  Just over 100 QSO's from 36 states and Canada.    Thank you all for making my day a success and adding a new park and island to you logs.     I have three  two busted contacts and most likely they were my fault for not hearing you correctly.   Check your logs to make sure you get credit and if not, email me with your concern.

Again, thank you all (most of all for the clock, hi hi)

June 2, 2016

I will be trying my first National Park on The Air (NPOTA) on the afternoon of June 2nd from 1900 to 2400 UTC.     I will give out two numbers given at this park; first Ebey's Landing National Reserve is RS02 and it is 19,000 acres maintained by private, local, county, state and federal aggreements and second Island on the Air (IOTA) as I will be on Whideby Island which is IOTA NA-065.     Whideby Island is somewhat unique because for car and truck traffic, there is the WA St ferry on the south end and a bridge on the north end of the island

I have been operating since September 1978, first as KA7BTD the upgrading to N7AME by December 1978. I have keep the call because of my daughter Amy.

The station is a Kenwood 480/AT at 100 watts into a triband Wilson Jr. at 10 meters.

May 2013 - I added a 12/17 and 30 meter, three element beam. Thank you for the new contacts on 12, 17, and 30.

The tower also has a 6 meter beam  antenna.       There is a small 40/80 dipole off the side.

The vertical is gone and on the side of the house.    I am playing around with a 80/160 modified antennea but it's not ready yet.

I am a member of ARRL and I now use Logbook of The World. I have all my logbooks in to LotW. I use direct, Bureau and rarely use eQSL also. I want to QSL with everyone and right now I am a little behind on direct/bureau QSL's.

QSL'ing is still cool.
