I am happy to respond to all direct QSL cards that have an SASE or enough funds for a reply.  I do not answer Buro cards or respond to those who send a post card.

I up load all my contacts to Log Book of The World on a regular basis. Just like 90% of the Hams in the world, I enjoy having a QSL card from each country I have worked, but I don't need to have one for each band and mode. This is where LoTW comes into play, quick, easy and very inexpensive. If you are not signed up yet with LoTW, I encourage you to do so. It can save you a bundle on QSL’s!

My main interest in the hobby is chasing DX, although not a big gun by any means. I enjoy playing in the contests. We had a small group of contesters here in Whatcom County and when it could be arranged, we contested from the QTH of W7IV but sadly the station was disassembled and moved to the warmer and drier climate of W6. For now I do my contesting from home.

I now have 326 current countries confirmed (now only 324 with the deleation of Kure and Midway) Wait hold it, back to 326 now that the League reinstated Midway and Kure.....and a 9 band DXCC. My latest claim to fame was being able to be only 1 of 26 North American stations to work Dom while he was in P5. Now that new ones are few and far between I have started my focus twoards chasing IOTA’s. That should keep me interested for quite some time!

First Licensed in 1976 as WB7TRU, other calls included N7HJJ and AD7SI. Due to self-employment, I was absent from the hobby from 1992 through 2008 when I got a renewed interest (thanks to Butch, AE7K, now SK) and returned to the hobby.

Equipment: Yaesu FT-2000, Alpha 8410, 4 element SteppIR with 30-40 loop at 60 feet, a second tower holds a TH-7 at 55’ and a 10 Element 2 meter beam. Tower three has a new Innovantenna 6 element LFA 6 Meter yagi (Man is that ever a nice antenna!) and VHF/UHF antennas. Wire antennas for 75, 80 and 160 complete my antenna farm.

My true joy in the hobby is helping new comers and others with antennas and the like. When a group of Hams get together for an antenna party and help each other out, in my mind, this is what the hobby is all about. I enjoy 3 modes (for now) Phone, CW and RTTY.

While I have DXCC's and contest certificates hanging on my wall, my most prized awards are the 3 Elmer Awards that have been issued to me. If you have an Elmer, Google Elmer Award and have the ARRL send one to your Elmer. I am sure he/she will appreciate it.

Need Whatcom County or Washington? Send me an E mail and I will be happy to oblige.

I can be available at most any time for a schedule.

Best 73 es gud DX.

Hope to catch you on the air!
