On October 21, 1974, several amateurs met that chilly evening and formed the Whitewater Valley Amateur Radio Club.

The club participates in many functions around the area offering communications and traffic control at parades to local government and other organizations, field day and special event stations, VE testing, and operations with ARES, RACES, SKYWARN and SATERN organizations as well as our weekly radio net on 147.270+(131.8) at 8 P.M. on Sunday nights.

We meet the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Kirk-Little Post 1108, 218 South 8th Street (US 27 South) in Richmond.  On club nights some of the gang meets first at McDonalds at 18th and East Main Street around 5:30 P.M.

And, every Wednesday (unless a holiday), many amateurs meet informally at the VFW Post at noon for lunch.  Please stop by and say hello.

Our club website is www.wvarc.org.  Please visit our site for further information about our club.  Trustee: Mike Chambers (w1idx@arrl.net) (Text: 765-969-3932).
