Trying homemade straight keys - so far, so good! (two so far) Son had Walnut tree fall on his property. We sawed it up - dried - many future key bases. Aluminum is 6061-T6 left over from motorglider build project. Polished with Nuvite. Ham - elmer in FL coached on ball bearings - TNX.

Recent xcvr - built RockMite 20 in candy tin - great radio 400 milliwatts - working all states and PR. Very low current drain on batt. Look for me around 14.058 MHz.
Latest xcvr - Santa brought early present - KX3 kit - now completed and on air - best radio I have ever used.
