Currently you will probably find me trying out the new FT8 mode.  

I was first licensed KB9NKU in April 1996 as a Tech Plus, upgraded to Advanced in May 1996 and I received the vanity call NA9RB in Febuary 1998. I upgraded to Extra in May 2000.

I enjoy chasing DX and as of 2017 have 7 bands DXCC. WAS Triple Play in 2015 and currently have 7 bands WAS.

I belong to the Fulton County Amateur Radio Club , ARRL and  The Society of Midwest Contesters .

Here is the shack around 2000 on left. Current Shack on the right.

 

Current Equipment:

Yaesu FTDX-3000 computer controlled, Ameritron ALS-1300 amp, Heathkit SB-634 Station Monitor.

Current shack was built with the help of Colin KS9A, and Cory NK9C. Shack built in 2015.

Left : KLM KT34xa (10, 15, & 20m) and Cushcraft 2 element 40 meter added to the boom of the KT34xa (at 72 ft) Force 12 80 meter rotating dipole(at 86 ft) on 70ft of Rohn tower using RT Innovations RT Razor .

Right: Cushcraft A3WS (12 & 17 m) with 30 m addon (at 58 ft) and Cushcraft 6m beams (at 52 ft and 68 ft) on Tri-Ex WT-51 tower.

DX Engineering 80m 1/4 wave Vertical. KLM 160m Vertical. 160m Inverted V at 65 ft. 40m wire dipole at 35 ft.

DX Engineering Active Vertical Receive Antenna. AS-SAL-30 - Shared Apex Loop Array receive antenna.

Current towers went up in 2013 and 2014 with the help of Colin KS9A, Cory NK9C,  and Glen WB9KEW.
