Will be using NF0N/NE150 at times during 2017 for the Nebraska Sesquicentennial. If you work me on any mode and want the special NE150 QSL card, send SASE to me at my QRZ address. My contacts will also be uploaded to LOTW. I work any mode but like the Digital and CW modes. Hope to work you during the Nebraska 150th.
I am married, father of 3 grown children, grandfather of 4 and great-grandfather of 9. My hobbies are Ham Radio of course, Bicycling nearly 3,000 miles each year, digital photography, and computers. I am retired from Tyson Foods, Inc. with 10 years and from the IBM corporation with 26 years of service.
I drive School Bus part time, mostly athletic events and field trips. This pays for my toys, bicycles, motorcycles, Radio's, computers, etc.
As part of my bicycling hobby, I am the Secretary/Treasurer of the "Bicycle Mobile Hams of America", (BMHA), an organization that combines bicycling with Ham Radio. We have a web site and a forum each year at the Dayton HamVention. I now have a Suzuki VS800 and after 45 years am re-learning to ride again. I plan to ride both bicycle and motorcycle.
I have been a Ham since 1964, with my orginal call of WA0KGD and NF0N in 1984. My Ham activities include collecting prefixes, now 2240, active DXing, 300+ and contesting. I completed working all the USA counties my first time, USA-CA #53 in 1971, second time in 2005, #349, 3rd time in 2010, #226, 4th time in 2014, #164, BINGO in 2009, Bingo II in 2012 and am working on my fifth time all counties. I operate mobile using an ICOM IC-7100 radio and have made many county hunting trips and plan many more in future years.
