After being licensed as a Technician in 2012, I joined the Maple Valley Amateur Radio Club and the Maple Valley ARES team. I soon discovered HF and made many contacts on 10 meters as a Tech. Later, I earned both my General and Extra in 2014.
I serve as a Volunteer Examiner, ARRL Official Emergency Station, and actively participate in ARES. I enjoy volunteering for a variety of events both locally and regionally, including marathons, triathlons, and bike rides.
For the Maple Valley Amateur Radio Club, I am the Net Manager, help maintain the website, and assist supporting the repeater systems.
I am located 20 miles East of Seattle, WA, at the South end of Issaquah. You can find me listening on the 147.260+ (103.5) repeater in Maple Valley, or on my IRLP node 7949, try me on DSTAR on REF035C, or call me direct using my CCS7 number (315)3085 using DMR. You might also catch me somewhere on HF too.
I do maintain a RMS Gateway, NK7N-10 at my home. It is listening on 145.010 MHz and running RMS Packet and RMS Relay. More info at www.winlink.org/.
I enjoy tracking satellites and the ISS, and run an iGate (NK7N-15) which listens to the ISS VHF packet frequency, putting those stations on www.ariss.net. More info at www.ariss.org.
