I was first licensed in 1995 but have only been active since late 2015. In the late 80s and early 90s I spent many hours listening  to broadcast shortwave.  I travel a lot for work (well over a million miles flown) and it is a challenge when trying to operate amateur radio. My other hobbies include photography and aviation.

Home QTH: Hollywood, FL near Miami. I travel frequently and may not be transmitting from my home QTH. Equipment: Most likely an Icom 7300 or Elecraft KX2 QRP. I am very restricted in the size and type of antennas I can have. You may come across my 12 year old son's callsign N1SPY. He holds an extra class license and operates SSB or PSK31.

-------------------

Remotehams.com station NO2CW: I maintain an open access HF radio on remotehams.com. You are welcome to use the radio if you upload a copy of your license. The station uses a 100W Icom IC-7300 connected to an OCF dipole. Please visit remotehams.com to download the software. This is a great free service for hams to experiment with or to keep in touch when for one reason or another they are not able to set up a station at their location.

------------------

SDR Receiver with open web access: I maintain an open access SDR receiver with full spectrum receiving HF capabilities ( 150 kHz to 30 mHz). The antenna is currentlly an 80m loop. To access the receiver try:

and you will be taken to its web interface.

Youtube videos: I test odd pieces of equipment from time to time and upload video into youtube. You will also see some AM/FM/TV bandscans I have done at various places.
