If you received a Beacon Watch eQSL from me you can check here for updates on the Beacons that I log on most weekends and holidays. I try to update right after a Watch session which usually take place in the morinings between 1500-1700, sometimes later in the morning depending on the propogation. I will send one eQSL to any new station that I log, if you request one on your QRZ page and thereafter it will be entered on the log below. Email, eQSL or hard copy QSL acknowledgement of the received report are much appreciated.

I live in Elk Plain but our post office is in Graham which is east of us. We are located to the east of Joint Base Lewis-McCord (JBLM) and about 35 Miles NW of Mt. Rainier National Park as the crow flies.

Licensed since 1984

Member of the 335 WWARG #1, Flying Pig CW QRP Member #2399,

10X #50844, a VE and a member of the W7/Washington Chapter of Summits on the Air (SOTA).

Catch the 335 club call at KF7CIA on QRZ.com, and our club web page at www.wwarg.org

I hunt and log 6 & 10 meter beacons and send QSL on my free Saturday & Sunday mornings.

I operate HF mobile, portable and at the home QTH.

Live long and QSL!

I was exposed to Amateur Radio in 1958 while living in Iritria, Africa, where my Dad was stationed at Kagnew Station. I dreamed of being a Ham operator for nearly 30 years before I found someone to point me in the right direction to obtain my license. I was a radio teletype operator (O5C), code qualified in the Army taking training at Ft. Ord, CA and Ft. Gordon, GA. I was stationed at Frankfurt-Hochst, McNair Kaserne & Hanau, Wolfgang Kaserne's, Germany with A Co. 32nd Sig. Bn. HF plt. from 1972-1974. I was one of the original organizers of the 335 WWARG in 1989 and am currently the president of the group.

I am operating primarily mobile HF with the FT-857 and Hustler 17 & 20 meter resonators. I also have Ham Sticks for 10, 15 & 75 and a cut down CB antenna for 6 meters. Most of the mobile operation is on weekends, holidays and vacations.

Current project: 20 meter delta loop that I expect to have up and running by Memorial Day this year or earlier as soon as we have some rainless weather.

The 335 WWARG will be on the air for Field Day 2015 using our famous call KE7CIA and quoting our slogan, "Be careful what you do because we are watching you."

At the home QTH the primary rig is an FT-450D, secondary is a TS-680. For portable and SOTA I use an FT-817 with a Buddy Stick antenna.
