By utilizing years of experience of MLA design, the original model MLA-C V.3 was redesigned to be transportable in a ski bag. The new version was named MLA-C V.4 KIT but an updated new version is now available as MLA-C V.5 KIT with which more amateur bands are covered, including 10 and 14 Mhz. A minimized version of the original MLA-C is named MLA-V KIT (V for veranda). Its shape has been changed to two squares (MLA-C used two rectangles). Also this model includes 10 and 14 Mhz band operation.

The longest component of the MLA-V KIT (1.25 m) allows to ship the disassembled MLA-V in a rigid PVC pipe, 18 cm dia.x 130 cm length.

A sub-version is MLA-R (R for room) which has the same specifications as MLA-V but has a bit smaller ERP. It is, however, less demanding for an occupied space and is also less attractive (for those who want to use it covertly).

The dimensions of components and more details for those who wish to home-make MLA-C KIT, MLA-V KIT and MLA-R KIT will be published in a new issue of MLA paper at the end of 2017, see the reference above.
