My way to Radio-amatering

Like perhaps each ten-year boy I built models of planes. I begun with plastic models military and clipper planes. Past some time I passed over on construction functional model sailplane with wingspan about 1500mm.

I wanted to drive areoplane models. At that time (spell year 1973) it was in socialistic Czechoslovakia RC set inaccessible. Therefore in a certain simplicity I decided to RC model build. I bought magazine amateurish radio, where it was description monophonic RC model. Construction RC model, but it was above mine possibilities. So I join to to the radio club youth and I slowly began interest of basis wireless technology.

Radioclub youth:

In Radio club youth I tought basis of wireless technology. For long charm me ROB. Here I attained definite success – I won by several times Republic championship and several time international race, for the duration of 4 years (1978 – 1982) I was member of exquisite team. Thanks ARDF came to radio amatering. Assembly ARDF of our radio club of youth summers 1975 proceed near transmitting base radio club OK2KLF in premises spot height 405 m.n.m. (JN89UN). Field day just proceed and from transmitting rooms reverberate with till then for me unknown code, sound of Morse brands.

Radio club OK2KLF:

From Autumn 1975 L like beginner extended series of radio club OK2KLF. Headed by experienced radio fan (Ruda OK2LN, Ruda OK2BBP, Mirek OK2PAM, Ruda OK2QA, Jozef OK2BBJ, Olda OK2SUK, Jenda OK2BND) I with next persons concerned were interested of mystique of radio fan running, Q-code, prefix digit, transmitting techniques and antennae. In spring 1976 I passed and I could radioed below brands armchair station OK2KLF. Mine first connection was station OK2KYZ at field day of youth in the year 1976.

Period „ independence":

In the year 1978 I got listener issue OK2 – 21864. First overhear connection was in band 80m on receiver to ROB. From radio club I could lend convertor 20/15/10m with ascent of 80m. First anetene was piece wire stretch among windows. First DX station was listened from island Guadeloupe. Already I didn‘t know from who, but I managed buy electronic KV RX Lamda V. On roof panel I built stand behind antennae horizontal quad. Each free time I spent with headphones on ears, when I was capturing new country.

I had always infinite joy from incoming voucher QSL tickets. Behind 5 zear of active listener activities I tapped on 25 000 QSO and I got certified mail 189 DXCC.

In the year 1983 I put together basic examination and I got licence with call sign OK2VPQ.

I could work in zone VKV and appearance to QTH and equipment (TRX Boubin) I concentrate on transmissing traffic in band 2m.

In the year 1986 I extended title and I can call on KV. With the help of Olda OK2SUK, I built CW TRX on 80m in achievement 10W. Transmission from continual QTH was appearance to dull cubic possibility on position antennae problem. Majority QSO I tie up from his transient QTH, where I 'd position very good dipole antenna 2x20m.

After I graduate, I built transient QTH built house and since 1995 became a my continual QTH at point.

Antenna: 3 element YAGI on 20/15/10m

invert V 2 x 27m

long wire 41m

Slopper for zone 30m

TRX: FT840 + aerial tuner MFJ Verse Deluxe II

In the year 1997 I passed and I extended possibility on the work of on all radio amater zones.

In the year 2004 I switched brands on current call sign OK2VK.

I survey largely on DXCC running mock-up CW and SSB, I castigate score of the number of confirmed DXCC country all the time. I don’t compet great races to result. I competed to result of participate shorter local races.

With Ivan OK2ZIH we rised-again radio club and our call sign OK2KLF and we are competing operational assets in band 2m and field of the day as well in band 2m at last year.
