Shack equipment in use,

Until November 2012 I have been using for four years an Yaesu FT2000, I never found the clicks with this radio, mainly because the receiver is the worse ever seen. My IC706MK II preformed more or less the same. However the ergonomics of the FT2000 where superb never seen a TRX which had such nice layout.

I finally could sell my FT2000 and after long search I found a reasonable good Icom 781.
The Icom needed to be repaired, the switched PWS was defected and needed shipload of new parts. Took me a week to restore the PWS and the rig became fully functional.
The Icom 781 was the far best analouge receiver I have used.

Due to the weight en size I decided to look for a complete new TRX.

It had to meet my standards:
- Two receivers.
- 50Mhz  6m operation.
- Lightweight.
- Must stand strong nearby signals.
So the only radio who fit these demands was the Elecraft K3. So from September 2013 I have the kit build K3 in use.

This is by far my best choice ever…!
