Hello dear visitor,

Tnx for watching my profile here. I started my hobby as radio amateur in the Netherlands after my examination in November 1979. I am in retirement since 2013 and since this year " full-time "  radio amateur. I am a Dutchman and I have the Dutch call sign PAØMKO but also a German call sign  DD4MK and in the Philippines a Guest License as DU1/PAØMKO.   I am active on most bands as 160 m until 2 m, but also on 70 cm, in the modes CW, SSB and some digital modes.

I am a very active person  with  Kids Day, Jamboree On The Air and as Lighthouse Operator.

In the Netherlands I am a member of the VRZA (Vereniging van Radio Zend Amateurs) and also a Member/Donator of DKARS (Dutch Kingdom Amateur Radio Society). In Germany I'm a Member of the DARC (Deutscher Amateur Radio Club), and in the Philippines a Lifetime International Associate Member (LIAM-088) of P.A.R.A. (Philippine Amateur Radio Association Inc.)

For almost 40 years HAM radio in my life has been a vessel to help my neighbors, whether on the same street where I live, or thousands of miles away. Emergency communications run by Amateur Radio that can be deployed when the telecommunications infrastructure of the regular emergency services has failed or are not deployable or even destroyed. Radio amateurs are most of the time capable of realizing a radio emergency network, in a short period of time, providing local and regional, national and international message traffic, in co-operation with other Emcomm partners and Radio amateurs, all over the World. To be sure that my radio station can realize this service, my station is equipped with a Generator (in case of power failure), Solar Cells connected to a big battery pack (in case of Fuel shortage) and at least a wind Generator to the big battery pack (in case of darkness or lack of sun).

Radio Amateurs are people of the world and not just HAM's and they are being capable to provide Global Emergency Communications during disasters "all over the World".

"When all else fails....Amateur Radio"
