Thank you for visiting my page!

I have two stations nowadays, both of them in the northeast of Brazil (CQ Zone 11 / ITU Zone 13):

(1) Gravatá (Grid Locator HI21ET) is located at the countryside, 447m above sea level, 84Km west from Recife, the seaside capital of Pernambuco. It's a very nice place with a good climate. Besides locals, people from elsewhere in the region uses to go there to spend weekends. Station devices: ICOM IC-718 and YAESU FT-8800R. Antennas: Homemade Dipole (10/15/20/40m) and a Nagoya BA-6300.

(2) Olinda (Grid Locator HI22NA) was the former capital of Pernambuco state. Although different cities, it's integrated with Recife's coastal landscape and history. UNESCO declared it a Cultural Heritage of Mankind. Station device: YAESU FT-450D. Antenna: Electril DXV3RR (10/15/20m).

As an effort to share some cultural aspects of my region, my QSL card has a woodcut from José Costa Leite (JCL) depicting "The Amateur Radio Operator". JCL has been declared Alive Heritage of Pernambuco state, an award given to local artists that are authentic representatives of our culture. For instance, QSL cards are direct at no cost. QSL also via LOTW or eQSL.
