SCIENCE EXPEDITION DURING 19-28 FEBRUARY 2015 TO FERNANDO DE NORONHA, PW0F :

Operators:  Dr. Ville Hiilesmaa, PY2ZEA, and Senior Researcher Martti Laine, OH2BH, on a Science Expedition-

This PW0F operation carries major scientific value which may result in a sporadic and unexpected appearance and/or sudden disappearance of the signal.

The gist of the study is to take two ladies to a somewhat remote island and put their psychological well-being to a test while left idling in the company of two men running the ARRL DX CW Contest.

Depending on the intermediate results, the ladies' minds may be further challenged by testing the effect of other radio frequencies outside of the contest frequency spectrum.

The study results will be distributed on a science paper QSL card via OH2BH.

There was a pirate PW0F on 28.495 on 5 March.

PW0F was used in the CQ WW WPX CW Contest 2012 by PY2ZEA (OH2MM)
The antennas were a multiband dipole and a Spider wire beam for 10-15-20, and an inverted-V for 40.
Nothing on 80-160. All antennas in this operation were temporarily installed at 10 meters above the ground.

QSL cards for ALL  PW0F 2012 QSOs have been sent out,
either direct or via bureau, thanks to Martti OH2BH.
