Hello Dear fellows,

I am an avid Dx hunter and cw operator. Cant say that I dont like contesting but love to chase Dx spots.

Back in the early 70´s I was a short wave listener that loved to look for broadcasting stations on mw.

For some reason on 1978 I was caught by an amateur radio virus that never left my blood.

Since then I have been active on HF on both ssb and cw.

I am not an award enthusiasm and never requested any award however I am confident that I had an opportunity to have a 2xway QSO

with some rare countries such as P5, 3Y0P, VK0(Heard island), and others.

A few QSLs cards received by them that reflects my long journey in this hobby.

North Kporea was quite hard like a few others, but I was lucky at that day because conditions were amazing. For some reason Ed wasnt listening Europe well giving us a good chance  to work him as some others from Latin America. Good for us!!!

And what about Bouvet and Peter 1st islands, see below, cards are really beautiful. Many expecting hours to hear them.

And Heard island. I could feel everybody on the bands waiting for such a big operation. It was almost the same as BY1PK start up. When VK0CW started on cw the entire band was calling him. There wasn´t a single window to give him a call. Almost 5 days calling , great signals and superb operation.

Macquarie island was even harder and remains the same. I really dont know if Australians are aware that we have propagation and condition issues between us but I keep doing my part trying to work them. I was glad this was my first and ever QSO with Macquarie.

Please take a look of a few QSLs from Willis, also hard from my side.

Some of the rare countries worked made me stay foreve listening and listening;

The 7O8AA was such one. See the QSL card below

Back in 1988 there was one Dx-pedition by OH2BH , Martti, that caused a lot of noise from all Dxers.

The worst part was to pronounciate the island´s name, Malyj Vysotskij island as you see below.

Countries that we normally were heard such Iraq,

Remembering good dx hunting spots such:

I had the priviledge to operate from PY0T (Trindade island) for three times and Fernando Noronha, just once.

Callsigns used PT0T, PY1VOY/PY0T and PY1VOY/PY0F.

I have three kids, Anna (21yrs), Rich Junior (19yrs) and Nicole (12yrs), and a wife that cares much Veronica.

You normally can find me on the bands tracing some DX on 40 to 10.

QSL information: If you need my QSL card please send to address above and include two greenstamps and SAE .

We are not accepting QSLs via Bureau any more.

LOTW is being uptaded frequently .

I want to thank you for visiting my page.

For those that met PY1ZAE (SK), Hal, knew how wonderful he was as a person and Dxer. He was almost my father and my true

Elmer on this hobby. He was the one working 5BDXCC when nobody even think about it. Let s salute him wherever he is. God Bless

Best of luck and Good Dx
