Welcome.

My name is Tommy, and I live in the north of Sweden.

Just gotten around to work cw, so if you hear me staggering away on the cw portions of the bands, please be patient.

My main interest in this hobby is to build things, and I always have a bunch of projects going. I also enjoy working with old WW2 tube gear. I have put an old Collins ART-13 into working condition, along with the classical BC-348, which I use on 80m cw and am. It's quite pleasing to hear the ART-13 keying relay rattling away when I'm using the old Svenska Radioaktiebolaget mechanical bug :)

Below is a picture of my "Dynamotor Delete" pcb I had made for my BC-453 receiver, and also pictured is my WW2 stack of transmitters and receivers. At the bottom we have the ART-13, on top of that is the BC-348, with the BC-453 to the left. On top of it all is my homebrew 6AG7-807 transmitter, sporting a whooping 25w output from a single 807 with about 600v on the plate. Quite complicated, but fun and educational build with VFO, cathode follower, doubler, keying tube and final. Housed in a repurposed TU-5B.

Below is a picture of the feedpoint of my lowband antenna. 2x27m fed with 600ohm balanced line, terminated in a link coupled tuner.

My first  tube build was  a classic dual 813 linear amplifier, output power after a lot of work and a lot of troubleshooting, at 80m, 900w. 40m 900w, 20m 850-900w (touchy on the plate tuning). This will do for now, but next winter (it's already been a couple of winters! ) I´ll probably spend some time replace or modify the plate tuning cap and getting the amp to work up to 10m.

Here´s a youtube link of the creation in action:

Here is my three band Fritzel FB33 yagi, mounted on a homebrew, tiltable antenna mast.
