I have been licensed since 1957, first years as SM5CTI and SM0CTI. I made my service as radio telegraphist on board torpedo boat T-105 HMS Regulus for 16 month during 1959-60. I am mostly a CW operator.

Member in RNARS 4029

I and my late wife used to be commercial beekeepers operating 500 hives for honey production up to 2005 but now I am retired. Before that I was part-owner of an electronic company manufacturing equipment for electronic type setting for the newspaper business.

I am QRV from time to time during the winter as EA7/SM4CTI with QTH just outside Marbella with IC-706 and a vertical antenna.  I am no longer QRV from EU-084 in Stockholm Archipelago as we have sold the place.

In my home shack I am using a TenTec Omni IV and a Collins KWM-2 together with a Collins 30L-1. I have a SY-36 yagi up 16 meter and for other bands I have sloping dipoles except for 160 where I have a longwire along the lake shore. When laying a new lawn in spring 2014 I put down about 40 ground wires random lenght from 10 to 50 meters.

I try to chase US counties and all US QSL cards are very welcome via the bureau. I QSL 100% via the bureau.

I have since 1957 been a motorcycle driver, first with a number of english bikes, Norton, AJS etc but the last 30 years it has only been veteran BMW in the garage. Now there are BMW R 60/2 and BMW R60/5. I am also a devoted mountain hiker.
