Activity in honor of the 56th anniversary of the First Human Space Flight YA Gagarin
On April 12th, 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first man in the history of the world to make a flight into the space. Launch vehicle “Vostok” with the rocket “Vostok” was launched from the Baikonur Space Center (Kazakhstan). After a 108 minutes’ flight Gagarin has successfully landed in the Saratov region, near the town of Engels. Beginning from April 12th, 1962 the day of Gagarin's flight into the space was declared a special date – Day of Cosmonautics. In the period from 5st to 21th of April 2016 "Almaty Amateur Radio League" will have an Almaty and Almaty region radio amateurs activity month joining the other hams of Kazakhstan and Russia in celebration of the event.
