Thanks for stopping by my QRZ.com page. I'm located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. I am new to the hobby. I passed the advanced exam on April 10, 2017 but I still have lots to learn.

I own following equipment:

iCom IC-R6 scanner (with upgraded Dimond SRH77CA antenna, I can listen to local repeaters and air traffic)

iCom 7100 with LDG IT-100 tunner (I run it 5W to 15W only)

iCom 31 with upgraded Dimond SRH77CA antenna (I monitor following repeaters: VE3YYZ D-Star, VE3TWR and VE3YPL)

Raspberry Pi Access Point DV-Mega running Maryland D-Star image (I made it but I do not use it frequently).

My ultimate QRP rig is KX2 together with the Signalink USB modem. I use it from home and sometimes from my van with a magnet mount 40m MFJ hamstick antenna. Recently, I got the Hustler 20S, 30 resonators and the mast. All these antennas produce quite good results combined with the radio's built-in autotuner. Also, I have the MFJ QRP Loop tuner which covers 40/30/20/17/15m with a single steel wire loop smaller than 1m in diameter. The loop works quite well just sitting on the floor of my room.

I use: Winlink, Fldigi and JT65 software. I operate on; 60m, 30m, 17m and 15m. I find 40m and 20m too crawded but sometimes I go there too.

I need much better HF antenna, now I have a 15m long piece of random wire hanging from my window to the cherry tree in my backyard. The antenna is end fed with a 9:1 UNUN (home made). I can receive JT65 signals from as far as Australia (18000km) and even Antarctica.

Thank you for great QSO! (I am assuming you are looking me up)
