Ham Member Lookups: 191

I have always been one to "go big, or go home". I rarely do anything casually. I used live on my sailboat in downtown Vancouver, BC, in a great little spot called False Creek.  I had always been interested in ham radio, but only became licensed in early 2007, receiving my Basic with Honors ticket, giving me access to all the amateur bands. I have more recently upgraded my certification to Advanced. We run an old Icom IC-735 rig, with a SGC-230 antenna tuner matching my backstay antenna on the boat. We certainly can't DX with the big boys, but it should work just fine when we sail offshore in a few years. I have a RIGblaster soundcard interface that I use for PSK31 over HF. I also have a HT rig, Icom v-85 vhf for use with the club repeater. I also have a setup on my motorcycle where I can use the H/T and have the mic and phones wired up to my helmet headset. Pretty cool setup when travelling. When I'm not on the air, I am probably surfing the net or playing my guitar in the cockpit, watching the sun go down on another perfect Pacific Northwest day. 73's!
