Born in 1965, licensed ham radio operator since 1991; Base, superior and code 12WPM. Also the owner of the callsign VA2GV.

HF Rig: Kenwood TS-50, AT-50 tuner, using a Comet CHA-250BXII vertical mounted at 33 feet above ground,  and a 64' random wire about 25' above ground. I work all bands from 80 to 10 meters; mainly active on all of them doing FT-8, and also on 80 meters for local nets. For digital modes, I currently use Ham Radio Deluxe / Digital Master 780 V5.24.0.38, and WSJT-X / JTAlert for FT-8.

For VHF/UHF: Yaesu FTM-100D in the shack, Icom IC-91AD portable and Icom ID-800H in the car. Mainly active on local repeaters; VE2RIG (146,880 MHz T100.0),VE2RQR (146,610 MHz T100.0), VE2RQT D-Star (144,950 MHz) and VE2RFU Fusion (147.120 MHz).  I'm also using both DV4Mini AMBE and a ThumbDV units on 2 separate Raspberry PIs, to play with D-Star, Fusion C4FM and DMR modes.

I am also the sysop of the VE2RIG-R Echolink node (node number 39339). This node is a my house and connects to the VE2RIG repeater on the Pierre Laporte Bridge in Quebec city using a Motorola CM-120 VHF radio and Svxlink. For more information on this repeater, go to: http://pages.infinit.net/ve2sig/repeteur.htm (in french) on Michel VE2SIG's webpage. Michel is its owner and a very good friend of mine.

I'm currently the net operators manager of the Club Radio Amateur de Québec Inc. (Quebec city Ham Radio Club), which has celebrated it's 90th anniversary of foundation. Did also for them, in the past, some net control operation and emergency communications, as well as being the webmaster of their website.  I'm currently the net control operator for friday nets locally, which are sometime streamed live on both our Facebook and Youtube channels pages.

I do not have any printed QSL at the moment, but plan to have some made in the future. If you send me some, they can be sent Direct or via the Bureau.  However, I do EQSLs.  I'm also registered on LOTW, and my QRZ logbook is also kept up to date.
