Hi  VE3DS is my new call effective July 7, 2014.  I also have VE3DSS which is my original call, and I am custodian for our Club Call VE3ONT.   I had the call VE3KU between 2005 and July 7, 2014, but had to relenquish it to obtain VE3DS.  So you can QSL for that call for all QSO's up until July 7, 2014 ONLY.... hi

I currently hold DXCC,WAS,WAC & VUCC on 50 MHz

I hold DXCC # 5 in Canada on 50 MHz, and sit at 125 confirmed!

My main interests are 50 Mhz through Microwave - presently my station includes HF, 50, 144, 222, 432, 903 &1296, 2304 and 3456 MHz.

I've been experimenting with SDR's including the HackRF and have it working on 3456 SSB and CW, with first contact over a 20 km path to VA3ELE. The hack runs 1 mw on 3456.  The Hack in beacon mode on 1296 has been heard by VE3ZV over a 100 km path and on 2304 by K2DH in Rochester NY.  I've heard VA3ELE on 5.7 Ghz but no qso yet until I get the antenna sorted out..

I'm one of the founders of VE3ONT "The TorontoVHF Association" Our group was active in the ARRL VHF contests in the 1970's through 1990's, and alumnus of VE3UOT at Hart House, University of Toronto.

Particpated in the VE3ONT EME DXpedition using Algonquin Radio Observatory big 50 m dish in 1994 working the planet on 144/432/1296 and 50 Mhz., as well as doing some serious listening for NASA to see if the Mars Polar Lander beacon on 434 MHz was alive...
