ve3ptc, also va3vs, gm0ley,and kd8mgz. advanced license holder in canada and scotland,uk. general class in usa. now living in canada, for some 20 years. my station: yaesu ft 1000mp, yaesu ft 991a, yaesu ft 101zd mk3, tytera md 380 digital radio, .radio shack pro2045 scanner .realistic sx 190 rx. antenna's: modified cushcraft ma5b 2 elements on all 5 bands, beam antenna,for 20, thru 10m. 4 element yagi beam for 6m, homebru magnetic loop with vacuum cap for 10 thru 20m. diamond v2000a tri-band vertical for 6m, 2m and 70cms, 100' centre-fed horizontal fed with bal-line all the way to the tuner for 20m thru 80m, ho-10 scope, and hs 1661 ext speaker and hm102 meter. i have a soft spot for the older equipment, hence the ft101zd mk2 and mk3 . when i obtained my first hf license, back in the U.K, my first "real" ham radio was a yaesu ft 102, without the relay troubles! boy, was that ever a fantastic radio, with adjustable tx audio, and a bullet-proof receiver, that could cope with any conditions.
