As a new Radio Amateur, I'm doing OK.  I've worked 25 DXCC entities so far (QSLs confirmed via LoTW), and am quite pleased by this.

My antenna is a homebrew magloop, using a home made variable capacitor for tuning, tuned by a stepper that's controlled by an arduino that I wrote the code for.  It doesn't auto-tune, but it manually tunes very easily.  80% efficient at 20m, 25% at 40m, and let's not talk about 60m.  It can handle 100w input power in a digital mode, so full power/modulation.

My HF rigs: Icom IC-735 and Icom IC-765.

VHF/UHF: various Baofeng HTs, Kenwood TH-D74 HT.

I work both voice and digital modes.

I also enjoy volunteering with our local ham radio clubs to support various public events.
