I use "Andy" as my radio name.

Only my mother called me Louis - and that was when I was bad.

Please visit my web page at http://www.bcdxc.org/ve7aha_tour.htm. Also check out the clubs comprehensive amateur radio site at http://www.bcdxc.org/index.htm

On 40m I use an Alpha 77 and KLM 3el yagi at 35m.

Click "Detail", then click on "Satelite Image" then zoom and you can see the antennas.

My other call is VA7CW and I am FOC # 1963, SKCC #191T and CW ops #352.

I was in Europe summer (2013) and had a fine visit with IK2DAD - Giovanni Ponzini (Brothers of different mothers) and with Tof - DJ6ZM. In Germany we went to Oktoberfest and I operated from his huge station.

We returned to Tuscany in September 2016.  We had a wonderful visit with Giovanni Ponzini (IK2DAD) and his sister Antonella Ponzini - it was a very good gathering of the rare and elusive Ponzini Clan.  Giovanni's gift was a copy of the old Ponzini crest - WOW!!

Then we had a visit for a few days with famous radio guy DJ6ZM and his bride.  He was wind sailing on Lake Garda in Northern Italy and drove to Tuscany for the mini-FOC meeting.  It was very fine indeed!!

And now (January 13, 2018) we are back on the big Island of Hawaii and will remain until March 10, 2018.  I have the pair of 40m phased verticals with 38 radials under each, a 17m vertical and a 30m inverted Vee with the apex at 25'.  I also have a KW compliments of KO4RR!!  This year I will also use FT8 in addition to CW.  See you all on the path!!

We went back to the Big Island of Hawaii January 14, 2017 to March 11, 2017.   I did more low band radio as the high bands are getting very fragile!!

I returned to the Big Island of Hawaii January 16 to March 19, 2016.  I used the  phased verticals for 40m and maybe some other vertical antennas.

I returned to the Big Island of Hawaii January 17, 2015 to March 21, 2015 and again erected the 40m vertical array and the 12m yagi.  I also tried some 30m.

I went to Hawaii January 11 to March 28, 2014. I used the 40m phased verticals and KW again as well as the 3 el. 12m yagi.  Conditions to Europe on 12m and 40m were terrific!!

I also was W1AW/KH6 on 40m CW and 12M CW and SSB.  Lots and lots of EU boys.

I was in Puako in KH6 January 12 to March 25, 2013 and I was very active particularly on 12 m with a kw and 3 el yagi. Additionally, I had a bigger property and I was be able to use the 40m phased verticals again.

I was in KH6 - Hawaii from January 16 to March 27, 2010. In Hawaii, I operate as KH6/VE7AHA from the village of Puako on the Big Island (IOTA OC-019). I use a pair of phased verticals on 40m, a K3 and an AL80b amp.

And I returned to KH6 January 15 to March 26, 2011 and January to March, 2012.

And I like fresh water and salt water fly fishing too - with a single handed rod or a two handed Spey rod!!!
